A Liberal Paradise Does Exist

Ramon Arias | June 9, 2015

In a letter to the Editor of Las Vegas Sun (June 8, 2015), the heading reads, “What liberal utopia looks like,” then comes the comment:

“For those who believe that government can provide everything and create a utopia, here is a quote from a man with more common sense than most, he is Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Maricopa County, Arizona:

“A ‘liberal paradise’ would be a place where everybody has guaranteed employment, free comprehensive health care, free education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free utilities and only law enforcement personnel have guns. And, believe it or not, such a liberal utopia does indeed exist. … It’s called prison.”

I understand this statement of Sheriff Arpaio in a mocking way directed at the Liberal worldview for wanting a Paradise run by socialists. Once they gain full control of a nation they turn it into hell. By the way, an important fact to keep in mind is that liberals can’t face facts in serious debates; they always lose. Their lies can only thrive in a society of historical neophytes. This is one of the reasons they must rewrite history to fit their deception of a promised paradise.

Even though prisoners may get “free stuff” someone has to pay for it, and that someone is always the taxpayer.

No one knows how to run a society better than God Almighty. When he delineated Israel’s standards for living, the prison system, as we know it today, was not included. A prison system is inhumane; therefore, God’s moral law institutes three solutions to deal with crime; no need for prisons. One solution is restitution, another is the death penalty and the third are the “cities of refuge”. When crime is dealt with in this manner, there is no need to build and maintain expensive housing for lawbreakers.

In the book of Numbers we read about six cities that were established as “cities of refuge” for those who committed involuntary manslaughter. “The cities shall be for you a refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer may not die until he stands before the congregation for judgment…. These six cities shall be for refuge for the people of Israel, and for the stranger and for the sojourner among them, that anyone who kills any person without intent may flee there.” (Numbers 35:12, 15). You may want to read Numbers 35:9-34:  The person was to remain there until he was judged.

It may come to your mind that Jesus acknowledged the prison system, and you are right. Let us not forget that Israel was under the Roman government centuries before they rejected God’s form of government and this made them no different than the pagan gentile nations. The Jews had to submit to that godless government as a sign of God’s judgment. This is the reason Jesus told them that God’s Kingdom was going to be removed from them and given to a people that could produce the fruit of God’s government (Matthew 21:43).

Only God knows what generation in the future will understand the perfect social structure under His ethics. One thing is certain, it will happen, He said so by stating that the world will be filled with his knowledge as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9; Habakkuk 2:14).

Until God’s people are ablaze in their spirit to live by God’s principles and proclaim them, the liberals will continue to make inroads into the minds and culture of this nation. Until that time, the nations of the world will continue to make them believe that with their lies they are the only ones who can bring about a “Paradise.”  They continue to “cross their fingers” that no one will question them about their social and scientific facts. No doubt the “Liberal Paradise Exists” and its fruit is hell on earth!

Biblical Christians have historical, social and scientific facts on their side to prove that God’s Kingdom is here on earth. The present and future generations depend on our accelerating this truth.
