Committing Injustice to Protest Injustice

In a free society, like the United States of America, The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution establishes the freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition. The Constitution gives its citizens the right to “peaceably assemble” even if it is to protest against the government and the civic authorities but it must be done peaceably and in order.

Suppressing the Truth

To suppress something is to deliberately hold back. So, we have to say that suppression of truth comes from wickedness. We all need truth sooner or later. We cannot live without truth.

Woe to Those Who Call Evil Good

I received an email that greatly disturbed me because in spite of all the decades of consistent intercessory prayer efforts and countless ministries—that are combating evil and darkness in this world, through all the means available, darkness keeps advancing at a neck-break pace.

The Original Deadly Virus

Nena Arias | May 14, 2020 There is a deadly virus that has been around a lot longer than any other virus known to man. It is the worst virus of all in the history of mankind. It is worse than any plague ever known to the human race even

Too Many American Christians Are Not Voting

If voters determine the future of a nation, why don’t more Christians vote in America? If you don’t vote, do you have the right to complain of the chaotic state of affairs in our nation? Something that non-voters urgently need to understand is that silence also votes. That so-called “silent vote” will count for those who oppose your values. So, as you can see, no one gets away with not voting.

Some Parents Dread to Parent Their Children

It truly saddens my heart to hear how so many parents are complaining and dreading having their children home from school during this coronavirus shut down. All of my children are adults now, but I can remember how much I enjoyed being their mother at all ages. So, when I hear that moms and dads around the country are bellyaching and complaining through social media how they are more afraid and dread to be locked in their homes with their children than they are afraid of the actual virus, I just don’t get it. It’s simply not natural when you are a parent.

What Type of Country Do You Want?

Nations and their government are what people have allowed to develop over time. For a long time, the United States of America has been held up as a model nation to follow due to the degree of freedom it afforded its people. But what most people don’t take into consideration is all the blood, sweat, tears, sacrifice and loss of life that it has cost. True freedom is never free. Beginning from that small band of Pilgrims that ventured on that treacherous voyage across the Atlantic in 1620 to arrive at these shores in search of freedom to serve the biblical God whom they worshipped, this country has known a lot of selfless sacrifice. The Pilgrims, those that followed, and many faithful and loyal patriots continued to pay a very high price and dedication to see this nation come to fruition and to ensure that they could pass on this heritage to future generations.

The Worldview Wars Are Raging

This world is always an arena of ideas. These ideas are always aiming for relevance in life when they want to get away from God’s ideas, which are already established, and we don’t have to reinvent the wheel on anything. In their delirium of “escaping” God’s ways they never give up and think at some “evolved” point they may be able to win the war against God. But reality is that human ideas always come up short or are totally inadequate, they keep going back to the drawing board and coming up with a new combination of the same old, same old. It’s a vicious cycle of failure after failure because the human finite (limited) mind will never be able to outdo the infinite (limitless) mind of God. That is the bottom line. Yet we all have to enter into this arena of ideas to defend truth so we can benefit by it and leave a lasting and true heritage for future generations.

Turning to God and Making It Public

Have you noticed how many people are becoming bolder about their Christian faith in public as we are facing the threat of danger and death with this coronavirus pandemic? That’s because our spirit knows what is going on and is telling us what to do. We must heed this spiritual call!

The World Humbled by God

Lessons on humility from God are very harsh lessons because pride in humans is involved. Pride is having a higher opinion of yourself than you ought to have. This pride can originate by thinking that you have achieved a level of accomplishment, pleasure and success by your own strength which grows into arrogance. At that point, you are ripe for a fall. This has always been and will always be the outcome. When a person is too arrogant, he or she is bound to make a mistake or fail in a big way because they act on presumption. Proverbs 16:18-19 says it very plain: “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit…”

I would have fainted, unless I had believed

When a series of troubles come, even the strongest people can be subject to feel overwhelmed when challenges and struggles become so heavy and frequent that we “can’t see the forest for the trees”. This is an expression used of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole. No one is exempt at different intervals in life to have to face these difficult times.

The Uplifting Side of a Crisis

The common saying that “every cloud has a silver lining” means that even the worst events or situations in life have a positive aspect. A situation that might seem dark and gloomy on the surface has a potential to also trigger something good.

Times of Serious Crisis Try the Hearts of All

Widespread crisis no doubt tries the human spirit to get back to basics and what is truly important. The world is being tested at present with the threat of widespread disease. The measures that are being implemented by governments in order to protect their people and their economy are very drastic. This may mean significant loss of life and revenues.
