Irreverence For Life

If we believe God, He tells us that there is nothing more precious than the fact that He created human life. Who are we to say that human life is disposable for any reason or just because we do not want to deal with it? All life begins with God who gives it to us out of His good pleasure.

Let us pause a moment to reflect about life from it’s conception in the womb. God tells us that He chose to design us in His image and likeness. That is, God himself is invested in each human life that has been conceived and He tells us that we are precious in His sight. We are filled with the desire to live, to preserve ourselves and live out our full expression. He gives us His beauty and gives us the ability to be creative. He provides us with many talents to develop our potential, gives us courage and dynamism, He reveals the wonder of His creation and awakens the desire in us to know and understand all things, we are able to show love and compassion for our fellow man as He does, and thus, we included in His plan to communicate to others of His goodness and love for them too. Everyone is different, none is identical to another, even our voice is distinguishable, we think differently and complement each other.

Whoever says that life is not a miracle, manifests their great ignorance or stubbornness to admit it. The study of human anatomy is a marvel that leaves most us completely astonished. The singular and complete uniqueness of each human life has been proven even more with the great discovery of the study of DNA, the “fingerprint” given to every person that has never existed and will never be repeated, no matter how many humans have been or will be conceived throughout the ages. At the moment of conception begins the full potential for the development of a singular human being in the entire universe. At 22 days after conception, the heartbeat is detected, that is even before the mother knows she is pregnant. At just three weeks, the eyes and ears are visible. At six weeks the fingers and toes of the hands and feet-manifest, and from 6 to 11 weeks, the baby will grow up to five times larger; at this point, they can smile and frown their face, and movement will begin up to fifty times in an hour. At 13 weeks, the baby begins to perceive vibrations of sound and feels safe listening to the heartbeat of his mother. The miracle continues, at six months everything has already formed and operates, as it will for the rest of his life.

Every second, many lives are conceived in the world. Lives that God is interested in even when life will treat them harshly such as widows and orphans, those suffering from pain and disease, persecution, imprisoned and enslaved, all are precious in the eyes of the Creator.

At the time of writing this article, 1.3 billion babies have been slaughtered by abortion worldwide since 1980. In the U.S. alone, 57.5 million babies have been aborted since January 22, 1973. You can check the counter of abortions to corroborate. It is a fearful thing to see that abortion counter change its digits as the second hand on a clock does and will not stop day or night, and to think that each time the number changes, a life ceases to exist.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you…” Jeremiah 1:5

“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:16

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalm 127:3

The consequences of murdering lives will catch up with us sooner or later. Let’s us do everything that is within our power to save lives and not to destroy them. Choose to revere and respect life as God respects it.

LET US SAY A STRONG AND RESOUNDING NO TO ABORTION!
