Are you poor? Then wake up and stop lending yourself to the manipulators. Does any one care about history and how poor people have always been used as an excuse to wage class warfare on their behalf? Have you ever asked why poor people are poor? What are the factors that contribute to being poor? Is it destiny, race, culture, or any other circumstance that determines that mindset?
I assure you defenders of evolution cannot honestly or adequately answer the question of why there are poor, middle class, rich and super rich folks? I assure you they cannot find the class warfare in the animal species or nature in general. The animal, mineral and vegetable kingdoms do not require man’s help to know their purpose and how to follow their design of who or what they are to be in this world. So, why is man the only creature that needs man’s help to make life better for them yet he is unable to accomplish such a noble task? Why is it that historically speaking “man’s help” only brings miserable results instead of a better life in the end?
History shows there have been countless attempts to help the poor overcome their condition. Many use the poor as pawns to gain power over those who have mastered the ability to accumulate goods by lawful or unlawful means. The end result has always been the same; take from the haves to give to the have nots, and create a never-ending voracious appetite for more of what others have.
Poverty, for the most part, is more of a mental condition and a self-imposed limitation than anything else. If the social structures are in place for people to rise from poverty to a better economy and they fail to do so, whose fault is it? Billions of people around the world mentally accept that they will remain under the conditions they were born under and they will die there. How true and legitimate is that mindset? I am not going to deny the reality that there are those who make their wealth by oppressing the poor, but at the same time I am not going to deny that the poor have always rebelled against those who exploit them. They fight and allow their revolutionary leaders to be their social saviors only to realize those saviors are not any better than their former oppressors and the vicious cycle starts all over again.
What happens in prosperous nations of the so-called “first world”? Have they eliminated poverty or have they incremented the population of beggars throughout many generations? Well, far from eliminating poverty in Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the United States of America, it has created a monstrous entitlement population that is sinking their nations and choking their productive elements of society. These “first world” countries have made it very hard to cope with massive amounts of ungodly laws that are imposed on the productive in their efforts to create equality through the redistribution of wealth. History is screaming, “It does not work, stop fooling yourselves and learn from the past!” But no one seems to be listening.
When poor people think they can demand from others to bail them out of their deplorable condition, this only makes things worse. The poor must realize they were the means for the political scavengers to gain power and ride high on their backs and those of the productive class to keep society moving “forward”.
There is always a better way to help the poor rise above their misery. It certainly is not by feeling sorry for them but with compassion laying out a plan for them to get out of that situation. Benjamin Franklin, exemplifying the mindset of those who truly understood the plea of the less fortunate, knew the best way to help the poor by drawing from his own experience as an overcomer and achiever. His sentiments are clearly stated:
“I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”
Do you think Franklin would praise the present welfare system? Do you think he would be proud of the civil government for creating almost fifty percent of the population to be dependent on government handouts? Do you think he would approve of the vicious class warfare that is going on? Or, would he be ashamed of what the succeeding generations of “public servants” and society in general have done to destroy the dignity of the poor? By the way, Franklin is not alone in his view of how to help the poor rise above their misery. He voices the same sentiment of other Founding Fathers who also knew that, in most cases, those in political power would use the poor as pawns to carry out their evil plans to retain power.
Poor people have the ability to overcome their handicap if social conditions are in place for them to do so. It is only when evil people, rich or poor, by means of theft, envy or covetousness, profit from others that society suffers horribly. Man’s laws, ways and means have never been able to eliminate poverty, no matter how hard they have attempted to do so.
The only law that can break the cycle of poverty does not come from man but from God. It is He who commanded His people that there was not to be any poor among them (Deuteronomy 15:4). God, the Creator of the laws of the universe made them known to His people. He taught them how to lawfully use them for their benefit and to help others understand these laws for their good as well. The earth is full of resources in order for people to learn to use them to benefit everyone.
You have heard it said there is no such thing as a free lunch, meaning, people have to work, and nothing is free, absolutely nothing! God also upholds this truth; He has requirements for eliminating poverty:
“If only you will strictly obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all this commandment that I command you today. For the Lord your God will bless you, as he promised you, and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow, and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you” (Deuteronomy 15:5-6).
There are many valid reasons of why people are poor, but laziness should never be rewarded. The true reason for becoming poor, however, must be handled carefully:
“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart…” (Deuteronomy 15:7-9).
God commanded people, not civil government, to take care of the poor among them, “For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land’” (Deuteronomy 15:11). When people take care of people there is accountability by the ones who do the giving and receiving. When people abandon this responsibility and those in an unethical government fill this need, it can only lead to corruption and destruction, those are historical facts. President Lyndon B. Johnson declared war on poverty in the 1960’s. Now look at the mess the nation is in. You can easily conclude that his plan to eliminate poverty only created a dangerous social welfare class of slaves with no self-dignity and generation after generation of individuals, which number in the millions, with an entitled mentality.
Welfare in the hands of God’s people will produce positive results for a stable and responsible society. Welfare in the hands of corrupt politicians and wealthy unscrupulous people can only create evil and oppression.
What road should America take?
