“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.”
(Romans 1:18)
The Bible, as well as historical records, show that the followers of Christ have always been persecuted for their faith. An entire record of Christian martyrs was published known as, Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, is a work of Protestant history and martyrology by Protestant English historian John Foxe. It includes a polemical account of the sufferings of Protestants under the Catholic Church. You might say, wait a minute, the persecution of Protestant Christian was carried under the Catholic Church? Aren’t they supposed to be from the same Christian camp? Yes. However, this is what happens when discrepancies arise even within the same ideology or philosophy of life. This is why we are seeing the fierce attacks against Christianity in our day.
Even in Jesus’s day religious concerns over its image extends back to the early church, which quoted Jesus as asking, “Who do people say that I am?” (Mark 8:27), so it is not surprising that this concern continues in today’s world through publicity and spin. The radical worldview of the left is clearly clashing more and more with the biblical worldview because the left sees it as its staunchest enemy since the foundation of the leftist worldview functions on a premise of lies and distortions of the facts, while the biblical worldview is based on God’s truth as recorded in the Bible. For the most part, the leftist worldview hates the biblical worldview because God’s truth goes against a culture of lies and exposes it.
The Left focuses on the stereotypes of evangelical Christians and twists and bends them until they are totally unrecognizable and then they proceed to spread those distortions as the truth. In reality they are masters of deception. That is their platform.
They falsely present Christians as hate-filled judgmental hypocrites because God’s people must uphold his truth no matter who gets offended. True Christian principals stand in the way of those who want to dictate their godless agenda to the rest of us.
They do so by even blatantly challenging God and calling him a liar.
True Christians will uphold God’s truth and engage in the culture war with his support.
It is more than obvious that the liberal media is hostile toward Christianity, even though Christians comprise nearly 80% of the population. They do their level best to paint Christian America as intolerant, fanatical, and oppressive. They treat Christianity as a joke, a fraud, and an archaic belief that no longer applies to modern life.
The radical liberals cringe at the moral imperatives that are fixed by God because they are largely accepted by most Americans, who favor creationism, abstinence-only sex education, marriage as a heterosexual union, and the sanctity of life. But the liberal media rejects God and they embrace an anything-goes moral relativism, so they support evolution, fornication, gay marriage, and abortion. Their goal is to gain control of the country. They’ll be satisfied when an openly declared God-hater is finally sitting in the White House and when Christian candidates are so scared of the badgering they will get for their beliefs that they decide not to run…. And they’ll be satisfied when you, the Christian voter, feel so alienated from the political landscape that you simply decide to stay home on Election Day and just turn over the nation to them.
Little do they know that their fight is really against God and his truth will never be overcome by lies. They follow the pattern that Romans chapter one delineates and ultimately face the full wrath of God if they don’t turn from their wicked ways. Romans 1:18 says, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.”
God and his people always win. Those who fight against him are beating the air. They will never succeed in ultimately destroying God’s truth. But in the meantime, we must resist them.
