Refuse to Embrace Slavery!

In all of human history there has never been a nation so generous with the world like the United States of America. Every year, the American people, private and voluntarily, pour out billions of dollars in aid regardless of that region’s philosophy, religion or ideology. At home America’s volunteer sector and their compassion are the unsung heroes. All this generosity is possible because charitable donations are tax-deductible allowing people to give to the charities of their choice. However, all that may be changing right before our eyes.

Barak Hussein Obama has announced his commitment to reduce the tax deduction to charitable giving. If he gets away with it there will be less money for people to give to charities and the government will take away billions of dollars to distribute according to its choice for social care. Marxist governments are known for wanting to control every social institution, they despise free market and endeavor to keep the poor population stretching out their hands to “daddy government”, this is what Obama’s agenda is all about. He is working full force to remake America and keep as many people as possible depending on daddy government. What do you think?

There’s an annual publication, known as the Index of global philanthropy, by the Center for Global Prosperity at the Hudson Institute in Washington which reveals accounts of American generosity to developing countries, how much they give and who gives. Read it for yourself you will be amazed and perhaps you will want to do something about it like writing to the White House to let them know it is unacceptable to come against the generosity of the American people in any way, shape or form; the world will suffer for it.

When Obama was campaigning he spoke at the commencement ceremony of the Wesleyan University, talking about national service mentioning John F. Kennedy and commitment to the Peace Corps. Perhaps Obama is thinking about his own army, after all other individuals did it in their countries like Russia, Germany, Cuba, Venezuela, etc. The United States of America does not need a civil guard created by the government. Give the American people liberty to be generous they will be forced to care, contribute and volunteer for good causes. Let’s hope and pray Americans will wake up on time and react to what the government is doing to the nation. The great numbers of generous people in America should demand small government so they can keep more of what they produce in order to share with those in need. This is how America was built.

Obama said he’s a great admirer and follower of John F. Kennedy, very well then let us pay attention to portions of Kennedy’s Inaugural Address, Washington D.C., January 20, 1961.

“…the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe–the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God….Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country…. Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God’s work must truly be our own.”

In other words, government can never be generous, it can only create tyranny when it grows too powerful. The more people ask the government to do for them what they can do for themselves they are giving up liberty and embracing slavery. People in the United States of America must not look towards “daddy Sam” to beg for their daily bread but they should look to God who is the Supreme Judge of our actions. The only way people can ask God’s blessing and His help is by accepting the responsibility to make God’s world a better place by applying His principles in all areas of life.

It is not too late to embrace God’s worldview as we accept Jesus’ exhortation and pray according to His will:

“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:5-14).
