Reports say, Christian Church in America is Waking Up!

News around the country is beginning to report that Christians are waking up and mobilizing to fight for the soul of America. That is music to my ears!

Pastors, churches and para-church organizations are awakening to the reality of the precarious times we are living, and they are doing something about it.

What is a para-church organization? Parachurch organizations are Christian faith-based organizations that work outside and across denominations to engage in social welfare and evangelism. Parachurch organizations seek to come alongside the church and specialize in things that individual churches may not be able to specialize in by themselves. This is very important networking to create greater effectivity and unity in the body of Christ. There is a place for every part of Christ’s body and each one is very much needed.

It is high time to shake ourselves free from denominational chains that have kept us apart instead let’s lock arms and walk in the same direction to get the job done for the kingdom of God in our generation.

The early Christians had no denominations, they were just followers of Christ who obeyed his call to take the Gospel to every creature, as we are commissioned to do as well today. Could we be witnessing the coming together of the body of Christ as we see these ferocious attacks against our God and our biblical beliefs in America? Have we taken this country for granted and are in danger of losing it?

There is a great level of excitement to see people engaging with the truth of King Jesus.

God gave us and the world a great country to be an example of his Gospel and how it should be implemented in the life of a nation. But we lost it long ago. Our times are requiring for us to reclaim it through every means that we can.

Praying, preaching and living the Gospel is the best way to spread the Gospel, but we have also been given other tools to reclaim our nation. It is through the ballot box and becoming pro-active in the affairs of our community and nation. “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you…, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” (Jeremiah 29:7)

We can never compare voter registration to the importance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but the ballot box is another way to put godly people in office. Many Christians in America have checked out from voting stating “what difference can one vote make?” You will be amazed that elections have been won by just one or a handful of votes. So, to see the eyes, ears, minds, and hearts of pastors across the country awakening to the need to engage their churches in the affairs of our nation and in today’s culture – is amazing and a huge step in the right direction!

Some pastors are committing to conduct voter registrations for the first time to engage their congregations in this year’s crucial election.
