The Coming Election Brings Generational Changes

Ramon Arias | October 17, 2016

Taking an objective look at the constant cultural changes in America’s history reveals that these changes have not been positive. The overwhelming majority of the population manifests the detriment of these shifts and shows that the nation has been going and continues to go in the wrong direction.

The minority thinks the nation is going in the right direction because they have a different perspective based upon their ideological beliefs, and it has nothing to do with the original vision for this nation. Those who affirm that elections have consequences are right; the outcomes can be positive or negative.

According to the polls, what is the most important issue in the 2016 election? It is the same as past elections, the economy. Who’s at fault for this unprecedented financial mess?

In past elections, the main focus was the economy. Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign’s strategy coined the phrase “It’s the economy, stupid.” Does anyone remember six years later the reason for his impeachment? He was charged with lying under oath to a federal grand jury and obstructing justice. But most people only cared about the economy; their un-coined motto became “forget morality.” For the most part, many have forgotten Clinton’s long-term economic disaster for the nation; however, during this campaign we are reminded not to forget.  Are we smarter or have we become more stupid for creating this economic black hole?

We are long overdue to acknowledge that our national problems are deeper than money, but before we do, let us remember the previous two elections.

On April 3, 2008, CBS News reported:

Americans’ views on the economy and the general state of the country have hit an all-time low in the history of the CBS News/New York Times poll. Eighty-one percent of those polled say the country is on the wrong track, while only 14 percent believe it is heading in the right direction.

CBS News on September 29, 2008, reported:

With no fanfare and little notice, the national debt has grown by more than $4 trillion during George W. Bush’s presidency.

It’s the biggest increase under any president in U.S history.

On the day President Bush took office, the national debt stood at $5.727 trillion. The latest number from the Treasury Department shows the national debt now stands at more than $9.849 trillion. That’s a 71.9 percent increase on Mr. Bush’s watch.

On July 3, 2008, the day before Independence Day while campaigning for the presidency in 2008, Obama called the Bush national debt irresponsible and unpatriotic:

The problem is, that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents – #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic. (Emphasis added)

The people elected Obama who promised to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA. How many people paid attention to his ideological background? How many Christians fact checked his profession of the Christian faith concerning the church he attended for 20 years where the primary doctrine was the “Black Liberation Theology”?

Black Liberation’s ideological foundation is Marxist Liberation, the social philosophy of Karl Marx. We can sum up what Marxism stands for in two well-rehearsed words that everyone can recognize: “class struggle.” It is the utopian idea that socialism sets people free and makes them happy.

A year after Obama took office, on February 2, 2009, he said:

One nice thing about the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. I’ve got four years. A year from now I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.

By March 19, 2012, CBS News reported:

The National Debt has now increased more during President Obama’s three years and two months in office than it did during 8 years of the George W. Bush presidency.

The Debt rose $4.899 trillion during the two terms of the Bush presidency. It has now gone up $4.939 trillion since President Obama took office….

Mr. Obama has been quick to blame his predecessor for the soaring Debt, saying Mr. Bush paid for two wars and a Medicare prescription drug program with borrowed funds.

Obama not only did not step down after his first term, as he promised, but got re-elected to four more years. I don’t have to spell out to you the shambles the nation is in now. Do you think there are no consequences to being almost 20 TRILLION dollars in debt? The sad part is that he has done this with the help of Republicans who are in control of both Houses, and it has transformed the nation!

A quick glance of Obama’s achievements during his presidency merits our time. Let us mention some of them: his disregard for the Constitution, numerous executive orders to grab more power, federal judges that do his bidding, his strong arm through the IRS, the debacle at the DOJ, the back-handed accelerated flood of illegal immigrants, and Muslims refugees that don’t care to assimilate. Other milestones that must be mentioned are the increase in drug-trafficking and crime, the revival of racism, tax financing of the baby killing industry, lighting up the White House with the rainbow colors celebrating the unconstitutional approval of same-sex marriage, weakening of the armed forces, glorified immorality, blatant attacks against Christianity, and much more. We must also mention his atrocious foreign policies. Those who say he is incompetent have forgotten his ideological goal: to transform America fundamentally, which he has done. I would not call that incompetence.

Is the damage irreversible? We will find out on November 8th.

What will a Hillary or Trump presidency look like? Don’t use wishful thinking. You must use your critical thinking, this means, you have to do serious research outside the main media because it cannot be trusted.  ISSUES and more issues backed up with FACTS is what we need to know and understand. Keep in mind that the world is getting more dangerous by the minute and WWIII is looming over us. Guess who is holding this war back? God Almighty is the only one who can hold back His justice for a time, but how long can He wait when the world has embraced irrationality and lewdness? What makes Him delay? God’s people are the only ones that can make Him pause and hold back His wrath, but if they don’t get it, His longsuffering will be exhausted, and He will have to bring it on because He is still the righteous God and always will be.

Elections go much deeper than economics; social issues are what define us as people. Christians MUST not neglect their civic responsibility of voting; this is the system we have for now, and we must accept the reality that being negligent is unacceptable to God because He made us so we could be salt and light in society.

You must understand the next president is going to change the culture dramatically; if the Supreme Court of the United States means anything to you, it should be enough to get you to the voting booth.

Also, we need to keep social issues in mind, which shape the culture: abortion, euthanasia, Planned Parenthood funding, the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, same-sex marriage, religious freedom, energy, an honest and responsible government, education, racism, illegal and legal immigration, secure neighborhoods—the list is endless. The coming election brings generational changes if Christians get it wrong again; there are no other people to blame.

The presidential candidates and their running mates profess the Christian faith.  Their views on the most important issues are in the opposite direction. The Christian community is divided into three camps: those who identify with Hillary and Kaine’s socialist worldview that want to continue Obama’s plan of transformation; those who identify with Trump and Pence that want to reverse the imminent downfall; and those who are encouraging people not to vote for either. Obviously, the third camp does not have a clear understanding of the workings of God in history and the nations through His people, read Hebrews 11.

I said it before in other writings: it is not about our conscience, which can be emotionally misleading; it is about understanding our past, present, and future, and this requires wisdom, not from man but God. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” James 1:5 (ESV)

We are not to surrender our biblical faith to any social control, and neither should any party manipulate it for political reasons. We must serve only Him who is the legal owner not only of this planet and the universe but also heaven and hell. When we vote, we must vote according to His purpose: “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:10, 33 ESV).

Anything short of this goal will never work.
