Christian and conservative America received a historical Christmas gift in the results of the 2016 elections. It was a good day for America when the Electors voted to move forward with the decision of the overwhelming majority in the Electoral College. We witnessed 2 Chronicles 7:14 in action as believers throughout the nation prayed and fasted when they understood what was at stake; petitions were drafted and signed, and Christians around the world supported and prayed for the election’s outcome.
The left ideologues are beside themselves; they want to eliminate the Electoral College and just go with the popular vote. They are driving the point that Clinton won by 2.8 million votes. However, what they failed to acknowledge is that 4.2 million votes in California and 1.6 million in New York State went for Clinton, that is a total of 5.8 million votes in only two states. Do we need to be reminded how liberal those two states are? Can you imagine the future of this nation controlled by a handful of liberal states? Obama’s eight-year promotion of the left ideology almost collapsed this country with his view of fundamentally transforming it.
Now let’s look at the part that the left-controlled media is not telling the people: There are 3,141 counties and county equivalents in the 50 States and the District of Columbia. Donald Trump won an overwhelming 7.5 million popular vote victory in 3,084 counties, wouldn’t you say it was truly a landslide?

The left (aka humanists, liberals, progressives, socialists, Marxists, and Communists), is going to continue pursuing what they do best by spreading lies of how they have the best national plan for this “deeply divided nation.” Yes, America was born a divided nation, and the leftist ideology has never produced a stable society, the opposite is true, and history is there to prove it. When we look at the U.S. by counties, it also reveals a very real impacting story: America rejects socialism in all its evil manifestations. The sad truth is that Christian America is also divided, and millions of them voted to advance the anti-biblical worldview for this nation and the world.
Conservatives and Christian America must not forget that the left is going to demand compromises that will benefit them, that temptation must be resisted and exposed. American values are not equal to those on the left.
Christians saw the greater evil that was coming upon the nation: “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.” Psalm 107:6 (ESV) “and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalm 50:15 (ESV) It is vitally important to never forget that with every prayer that God answers there is always a responsibility on our part. America needs healing, and that will not happen by political or economic means. We are crossing very distressing times, and responsible people must discover the truth about America’s values anew. Those values are found in the Bible. It is the source of spiritual, intellectual, wisdom and understanding of what we ought to do and how to conduct ourselves accordingly; in its pages, we find the perfect plan and the authority to answer all questions related to genuine progress for the individual, and for national and world affairs.
God is the only one that can make America great. He wants to use His people to accomplish the task for a witness to the world that His ways are perfect so that they too can feel the impact and receive His great blessings. We must not lose sight of the bigger picture. Within our plans for the coming year, at the top of our list, should be a sincere desire to know His will so we can further His government on earth as it is in heaven. He will provide and equip us with everything we need: “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:2-3 (ESV)
This is the only way to have a great and meaningful New Year!
