The Equal Rights Amendment Fraud

There is an idea that has been circulating now for over 40 years to incite distaste and repudiation against the Constitution saying that somehow the founders had something against women that translates into the Constitution that doesn’t protect equal rights for women, or so they say. But this idea is completely false.

Unfortunately, there is an uprising bubbling up among liberal women using the momentum of the “Me Too” movement in an attempt to link the horrific Equal Rights Amendment again. The uprising among liberal women gains much momentum and force when actresses and singers of renown join their ranks and put their money in the movement coffers to fuel this cause, which they feel is the ultimate effort to help women. It is more than tragic that their fight for all females is not equal. Their tunnel vision conveniently leaves out the innocent defenseless females in the mother’s womb who get massacred at will for convenience or irresponsibility of the mother or both parents. She is denied her chance at life altogether.

It is reported that Illinois recently became the 37th state to ratify this amendment, that says: “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”

In 2014, U.S. News quoted Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who called for making the ERA part of the Constitution.

The liberal Left is relentless in pushing their radical communist/ Marxist agenda against American values. They are so obsessed, short-sighted and blinded to the fact that they are destroying everything about America that gave them their freedom, never realizing in actuality that their fight is against God who set the social order in creating the human race into two genders, male and female. He gave men their mission in life and he also gave women their mission in life that makes them complimentary one to another. Without that compliment, the human race would disappear from the face of the earth.

We have some very evil and obstinate people in very powerful positions such as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who said, “If I could choose an amendment to add to the Constitution, it would be the Equal Rights Amendment. I would like my granddaughters, when they pick up the Constitution, to see that notion—that women and men are persons of equal stature—I’d like them to see that is a basic principle of our society.”

It is unbelievable that a person of Ginsburg’s stature is ignorant of the fact that the Constitution, a document she should know forwards and backwards, does not marginalize women in any way, shape or form.

Ultimately, attempts to pass the Equal Rights Amendment are mostly symbolic for now. But Conservatives should not sleep on their laurels because while good people sleep the enemy comes in to sow weeds of destruction among the wheat (Matthew 13:24-30).

To ratify a constitutional amendment requires 38 states in favor. The Equal Rights Amendment is one state short from ratification—but the other states ratified the amendment in the 1970s, and five actually withdrew their vote (Nebraska, Tennessee, Idaho, South Dakota, and Kentucky).

In 1972, Congress passed the Equal Rights Amendment, but insisted the amendment had to be ratified by the states within 10 years, in other words by 1982. That statute of limitation has long expired so technically, the ERA Amendment is dead.

Only 35 states ratified the amendment by the deadline. Those states will probably have to re-ratify the amendment for it to pass.

The most important factor to note is the amendment’s faulty premise. The accusation by the left that the Constitution doesn’t protect equal rights for women is simply not true. It is a deceitful argument. The document is not sexist.

The Bible uses the word “men” to mean mankind, both male and female, as does the Declaration of Independence. “All men (humans) are created equal…”

The Founding Fathers did not believe that women were unqualified to have rights and dignities equal to men. It is a long stretch to put words in their mouths.

The 19th Amendment guaranteed women the right to vote nationally in 1920. The reason for withholding that privilege before, I’m sure, had more to do with economics of being a property owner than anything else.

The passage of the Equal Rights Amendment will cause unspeakable problems. It is just another trick in the liberal pocket to gain more foothold of power. Passage would mean that women would have to be registered for the military draft and could eliminate laws that benefit women. Certainly, the left wants to continue to use this false argument to keep abortion in place and make it government funded.

Don’t be hoodwinked into favoring such an egregious and false move from the left, especially now that things look promising in the Supreme Court to finally reverse Roe v. Wade and save the lives of millions, not only girls but boys as well. A nation that kills its future already has a death sentence. Let’s not kill our future and offend God greatly in the process. We have enough reproach against us as it is.
