The True Resurrection Story

“And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.”
(1 Corinthians 15:14-17)

All the promises in the Bible and the work that God did throughout the ages and continues to do is all contingent upon the birth, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Christ. Paul is right in saying that if these events did not happen our faith in God and his Son Jesus Christ is all in vain.

How do we know that the Resurrection account of Jesus isn’t just a fairytale? Was it just invented by some zealous eccentric “kooks” who wanted to make their mark in life as the biggest frauds that ever lived? Did they perpetrate the biggest lie ever that would impact centuries and millennia after they were gone from this earth? Or is there truly something authentic to this magnificent event in human history? The real answer to that is that you will never know personally until you live it for yourself. That’s right!

It is not enough to read about it and to consider other people’s opinion on these events. The marvel of the coming of Christ to earth in a human body to die, be buried and resurrect on the third day and then ascend into heaven with eyewitnesses looking on is that you too can become a witness. These are the greatest and most important events of all time, which you can experience the benefits firsthand. You too can become a firsthand witness, so to speak, because you can partake of the benefits for yourself. Don’t just accept the historical account of these events that changed life forever. Live them for yourself.

This is the true Resurrection Story. We become firsthand witnesses when Christ comes alive in your life and in mine.
