I don’t know what you know or how much you know about the powerful, secretive annual Bilderberg Conference. Nonetheless, due to its nature many conspiracy theories abound. What is fact and what is fiction?
The very nature of the attendees and the topics they talk about are not discussed outside their circle. No minutes are taken and no reports with their conclusions are given. This organization of the most powerful men and women in the world began meeting since 1954, to debate the future of the world. They have met over and over again since then. As expected, they believe their worldview is the only right one and they all work toward that end. These world elites are mostly from America, Canada, and Western Europe.
The Steering Committee is responsible to select the guest list of approximately 120 and 150 top figures from the fields of politics, commerce, finances, academia and the media.
Their representation is powerful with top people from the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, Trilateral Commission, the EU, powerful central bankers, top Corporate CEO’s, media moguls and of course the military apparatus. Outsiders have branded it as “a shadow world government.” Those who track their moves more closely claim their ambition is to have an all-powerful global government, to establish a corporate control enforced by the armed forces.
It is of interest to note how they get involved in the selection of heads of State. Just to give you an idea, consider two unknown governors who, in their time, were guests at these meetings, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton; you know the rest. The same has happened with many Canadians, British, French and others before they became Prime Ministers or Presidents. With a little more research we learned that in 2008, when the Bilderberg Group met in Northern Virginia, Democrat Senators Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton, who were eyeing the White House, were invited.
For over 60 years, they have been saying that their topics are informal. This year’s topics, according to what the organization published, included: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Chemical Weapons Threats, Current Economic Issues, European Strategy, Globalization, Greece, Iran, Middle East, NATO, Russia, United Kingdom, U.S.A., and of course the U.S. presidential elections. No one should naively deny that these meetings shape the world.
I cannot join the conspiracy theorists and here is why: since the dawn of human history men have done everything within their reach to dominate with their ideas. They have built great empires through military might and economics, and then guess what? They collapsed.
Then there are stories of families like the Rothschild’s. In the early 1760s Europe saw the rise of this family from a humble beginning at their home in Frankfurt, Germany where Mayer Amschel Rothschild started his banking business and taught his five sons the skills. This Rothschild family banking business grew in scope and power throughout Europe, so much so that governments, kings and popes would ask them for loans. The Rothschild patriarch once said: “Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes its laws.”
It is in the human DNA to dominate the world. Christians, of all people, should know that is precisely why God created the human race. We are told this in Genesis 1:26-28. We now know of the detour the human race took since then. Through the serpent, Satan introduced his worldview of rebellion against God by tempting Eve to embrace his ideas of a world where God was not part of the future. Adam also fell for Satan’s lies (Genesis 3). Remember, those were Satan’s lies then and they are the same lies that he uses today. It’s a fact, God is so much a part of human history and it is up to His chosen people to understand His agenda and apply it in all areas of life. What we confront daily are two opposite mindsets. So, the sooner we accept this reality the sooner we can steer the madness that is plaguing the world toward God’s direction for healing.
Paul said to the Christians in Rome: “For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8).
It is natural that likeminded people unite to carry out their understanding of how life should be in this world. There are those whose minds are not directed by God that pull the strings to enroll those elements in society that can be of use to further their agenda. As a matter of fact, all who are going to manipulate, as well as the manipulated ones, are playing games of make-believe with each other. In other words, they use each other for their own ends. If you could only ask Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and the long list of great manipulators of the twentieth century by what means did they come into power, and who were the key players that orchestrated the whole thing? They would have to admit that history has already condemned the outcome of their schemes, which is evident in humanity. Better yet, if you could only study the unrevised history, it is all there. One thing they all have in common is that they are hostile to the God of the Bible; they refuse to submit to God’s moral law, and live only to please themselves. They completely ignore that there will be a day when they will have to give an account to the true owner of the world and the universe for their actions and reap the consequences.
Jesus’ warning stands true for all those whose main goal in life is to dominate the world in a way that is contrary to God’s revealed purpose: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26).
Jesus experienced the audacity of Satan’s offer first hand when he showed Him all the glory, power, and riches of the kingdoms of the world. Why did he dare to make Him such an offer? Because Christ came to destroy the works of Satan (Genesis 3:15; 1 John 3:8; Hebrews 2:14; Acts 10:38) and Satan knew Jesus came to be the world’s Savior, and its King of kings and Lord of lords. No other offer could have worked in order to bring Jesus to the side of Satan’s culture of lies. However, you know the story, let us read and glean from the record of that encounter:
“Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, ‘All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Be gone, Satan! For it is written, «You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve»’” (Matthew 4:8-10).
The worship and service to God is never in a mystical way. It has to do with honoring Him by applying His ethics in all aspects of human development. This is where most people miss it and instead of giving themselves the opportunity to understand the full counsel of God as revealed in the Scriptures and how they relate to life as a whole, they pursue other sources of ideas that are in conflict with those of the Almighty and Sovereign Ruler.
