Spoiling the Millennial Generation

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set… an example in speech,
in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
(1 Timothy 4:12)

The above Scripture is given as excellent advice to the young on how to properly invest their life in proper and profitable behavior.

When children have been given everything but have not been taught the value of things or been taught how to earn them, it is common behavior for them to be unappreciative of what they do have and not think twice of demanding even more. Such is the behavior of some millennials. Anyone born between 1981 and 1996—ages 23 to 38 in 2019—is considered a Millennial.

To make matters worse, society as a whole, and the way education and politics are shaping up, universities and politicians are hell-bent on catering to the millennials. Today’s politicians think that if they turn themselves into Santa Claus, they will garnish more votes and come out ahead in their agenda.

It is a fact, according to recent economic indicators, the economy of America is booming. On a more negative note, and college studies are so light that students have a lot of time to complain about anything and everything. They are taught that everything is wrong with us and that we are such a hateful country. It is criminal what has been done to our millennial generation and it is only getting worse for the next generation known as the Z-generation. Bloomberg defines “Gen Z” as “the group of kids, teens and young adults roughly between the ages of 7 and 22 in 2019.

One therapist has published her observations of what’s really happening to the young adults.

CNBC, reports that a San Francisco-based psychotherapist Tess Brigham reveals what’s really troubling her millennial patients – and it’s a problem many of their parents and most grandparents likely would have wished they had: Too many choices about how to live their lives.

“Yes, decision fatigue is a real thing, especially in today’s world, where we are overloaded with information and have an immense pressure to succeed,” Brigham wrote.

This malady in our young people is producing elements into society that are so disoriented, confused and out-of-touch with reality but they are so convinced they know better than previous generations. They are arrogant, self-important, domineering and clueless about life, yet they feel highly deserving and entitled of everything they can get. A present member of Congress by the name of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a prime example. She is illiterate about American history, the economy and almost every other subject of importance and she has been caught in many lies outright yet she now has a position of power and wielding that power in very dangerous ways and influencing others to join her web.

She pretends to be one of the downtrodden people but grew up in a privileged environment. For the most part, AOC’s generation has never experienced real want or the hardships that others have experienced and paid a high price for, yet they complain about having too many choices according to psychotherapist Tess Brigham and no doubt many other practicing psychotherapists today.

Spoiled individuals will have to learn about the reality of life the hard way. I only pray that we can turn the tide before this huge block of people have an opportunity to impact all of us in the real world.

Our country needs our prayers now more than ever, our votes for the right candidates for public service and the proper teaching coming from the Christian pulpits of America.

May God help us save America!
