“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you” (Matthew 7:12)Who ever heard of allowing illegal immigrants to have the right to vote in a nation’s elections where they entered illegally? Well, The Washington Times reported that the Democrat House of Representatives voted on Friday, March 8, 2019, to give local governments the right, if they so choose, for illegal aliens to vote in their elections. What kind of a crazy bill is that, which erodes the American privileges that have come at such a high cost? With public servants like that who needs enemies, right?
“The vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber — then under GOP control — voted to decry illegal immigrant voting. The 228-197 vote came as part of a broader debate on Democrats’ major legislative priority this year, HR 1, the ‘For the People Act,’ which includes historic expansions of voter registration and access, as well as a major rewrite of campaign finance laws.”
What do you call it when a nation’s government is working against its citizens? The word treason and abuse of power doesn’t come to mind yet that doesn’t seem to be enough to prosecute people who have totally overstepped their boundaries anymore.
It is so frustrating for the citizens who have voted in and sent legislators who are doing the right thing only to be overpowered by the dishonest and power-hungry individuals, who also turn out to be God-haters. No matter how hard honest God-honoring folks work, their gained territory gets snatched away and reversed.
Democrats have hardly been in charge as majority in 2019 and already they won’t do anything about a Governor accused of sexual assault, they have gone investigation crazy of opponents with no evidence, they are becoming pro-infanticide and now they voted to give illegal immigrants the right to vote. Is this still America? What awaits us in our future?
When it comes to voting, it is more than logical that only U.S. citizens should have the right to vote. Who can reject that privilege for its citizens? Take note of that next time you go to the ballot box. If you identify with the Democrat Party this is what you are supporting.
These days, the lines are drawn, and no one should think they can straddle the fence, under any circumstances. “…a double-minded man, is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8)
What does our law say about illegals voting? The federal law already prohibits non-citizens from voting in elections for federal office, yet some cities like San Francisco are already allowing non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to register to vote in school board elections.
I hope people are paying attention and will hold accountable their legislators who voted in favor of this bill on Friday and ask them to explain their actions. There’s no other way to push back on the moral slippery slope we are on.
The trend of putting illegal immigrants over the rights of the American people is more than mind-boggling and so unfair and treasonous to all of the citizens who work so hard to maintain the value and privileges of our country.
What happened to the oath all of the public servants took when they were sworn in to uphold the Constitution and to defend our country of all enemies foreign and domestic?
It is tragic what is happening to America at the highest levels of government, let alone at the lower levels of our governmental structure. We are only as good as our laws and the level of justice we apply.
