Liberals Conveniently Use the Bible

The hypocrisy and double standards of the Left is overwhelmingly amazing. It is never more obvious as when they use the Bible in their efforts to point out an ethics issue, yet the rest of the time they violate God’s Word on every level. Hypocrisy can be found in many people and places, but it is something most of us detest, even those who use it repudiate it. Hypocrites think they can get away with dealing in falsehoods themselves but are quick to condemn others. With their attitudes they basically say, “do as we say not as we do.” Hypocrisy is something the Bible greatly condemns. Matthew 5:37 says, “Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.” A hypocrite is someone who puts on a mask and pretends to be something he is not. Hypocrisy is to claim to know and follow certain beliefs but to behave in a way that contradicts those beliefs.

Just to set the record straight, there is also hypocrisy on right side of politics and social issues. But the hypocrisy that we see in the liberals on the immigration issue by using the Bible to push their agenda on child separation are the same people who demand that you can’t impose morality on people. They also demand the separation between church and state. They scream at the top of their lungs that religion and politics don’t mix and they want Christians to remain neutral and turn their back on their values and faith when it comes to public and national issues.

On the separation of a parent from their child in the immigration issue, the hypocrisy is never so obvious as when the topic of abortion is brought up and how it’s truly the separation of a child from his or her mother, then the Left is outraged. They say, “how dare you Christians impose the Bible on us.” But on the immigration issue the Left was quick to make President Trump look bad by quoting the Bible out of context against him, because all of a sudden, the Bible is full of wisdom and should be obeyed.

Interestingly enough, the liberal media took issue with Jeff Sessions’ use of Romans 13 by appealing to the Bible to emphasize a point. Then we hypocritically heard the liberal voices loud and clear against the use of the Bible. The truth is that we are supposed to look into the Scriptures to settle all issues, only not use it wrongly and out of context to put words in God’s mouth that he never said.

The truth is the liberal agenda wants nothing to do with the Bible when it comes to abortion, same-sex matters, government theft, and a myriad of other moral and ethical subjects.

Ali Velshi of MSNBC, said the following while hypocritically holding a big Bible, which he does not believe in, and quoted from Matthew 19:14. But Jesus said, “suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me.” By simply reading the context of that verse, we can clearly see that Jesus is not talking about immigration. The Bible must never be interpreted without the context of what you want to accurately understand.

By reading the context of Matthew 19:14, it is clearly understood that it is talking about the kingdom of heaven, not illegal border crossing. You can be sure that the same tactic of distortion is what motivates the liberals whenever they use the Bible to “prove” their point. Why aren’t the atheist organizations quick to file lawsuits against the liberals when they publically use the Bible?

The real issue in the illegal immigration situation is that people are entering the country illegally. They are breaking the laws of the United States. There are legal ways to enter this country, but these intruders are refusing to go the legal route. All President Trump is doing is applying the immigration laws that are already approved by Congress to close the porous borders, which have made it too easy for illegals and evildoers to enter our country and cause havoc and abuses.

You would not allow total strangers to just barge in your house and take up residence just because they want to. You would have to take strong and legal measures to remove them. The illegal entry of those who do not have authorization to enter our country is no different than the violation that would be done to you on a personal level.

On the other hand, we are being compassionate to the illegal children and adults who are detained. They are being taken in and fed, clothed, given medical care and sheltered just like the Bible commands that we do to the needy and the strangers. Jesus’ words are being followed to the letter.

If a person is willing to break the law in one case (entering a country illegally) they will do so in other instances. We do people harm by letting them get away with breaking the law without consequences; they will not fear or respect other laws. Our laws are first to protect the citizenry from injustice. These violators want to come in to benefit from privileges that rightfully belong to its citizens. We are already seeing this attitude in that they demand a driver’s license. Some illegals drive drunk and commit crimes, evade our tax laws, and our laws in general.

The Bible should be applied consistently by both those on the Left and the Right. It is our life manual to guide us in all matters. If the Left believes the Bible is good for some things, maybe they will see the light and come to believe it for all of life.

Let us continue to pray for a biblical reformation which we so desperately need.
