The Roy Moore Mega Political Earthquake

In Alabama, Judge Roy Moore defeated appointed Senator Luther Strange in a primary runoff. Moore captured the majority vote in 63 of the 67 Alabama counties. The money that poured into the Strange campaign reached the $30 million mark. President Trump and Vice President Pence appealed to Alabamian voters to no avail. In the Trump rally on September 22^nd, one could hear the concern in President Trump’s voice for choosing to endorse Strange when he stated:  “We have to be loyal in life,” “There is something called loyalty, and I might have made a mistake, and I’ll be honest, I might have made a mistake.” The loyalty part was about Strange who voted in favor of Trump’s agenda in the Senate.  It was very evident that Trump and Pence made a mistake by following bad counsel. Alabamians did not reject Trump’s vision of making America a better nation, just his choice in their primary for the U.S. Senate.

Alabamians know who Judge Roy Moore is so in spite of the money machine that buys certain candidates to serve the masters of deception, corruption, and greed, the Republican establishment had a huge defeat. They were certainly jolted by the Moore political mega earthquake.  The Alabama primary of 2017 gave a message to the nation loud and clear that it is not about money; it is about the message and the messenger. The GOP’s evil mechanism of character assassination could not destroy Moore and his deep biblical convictions; rather, it made him stronger in the eyes of the people and the entire nation took notice.

Roy Moore is better known as the Ten Commandments Judge for his refusal to remove the stone monument inside the state court building in Alabama. The state judiciary panel removed Moore as the state Supreme Court Chief Justice for not obeying a federal court saying Moore violated the separation of church and state. By the way, there is no such thing in the Federal Constitution as the separation of church and state that means God is not to be involved in State affairs; it is a lie perpetuated by the corruption of the U.S. Supreme Court and spineless legislators that don’t take a stand against lawless judicial activist judges. There are those judges who think they can dictate what the Constitution says and when “We The People” do not resist them they get away with shredding and destroying the ruling document. In the process, those runaway judges change our nation’s culture for worse. The Constitution is not what judges say it is but what is plainly written in this governing document. This was the reason judge Moore could not obey such arbitrary decision and violation to the U.S. Constitution as well as the Alabama Constitution that says in its Preamble: “We the people of the State of Alabama … invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God, do ordain and establish the following Constitution …” Do you know that all 50 States acknowledge the God of the Bible in the Preamble of their State constitution?

By installing The Commandments in the Alabama Supreme Court rotunda in 2001, Judge Moore complied with Alabama’s profession of faith in the Law of God given to Moses at Mount Sinai over three thousand years ago.  It is in God’s moral law that his people find guidance to develop good moral character both personally and nationally. No institution is out of the boundary of God’s moral law.  In November 2003, Judge Moore was asked by the state’s attorney general, William Pryor Jr., who is supposedly a conservative, “if you resume your job, will you continue to acknowledge God, no matter what the other judges say?” “Yes,” Judge Moore responded, and for that, he was removed from his post as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama.  

Moore was elected for the second time as Chief Justice in 2012. In May 2016, he was suspended for recognizing the Alabama Constitution and the overwhelming vote of the majority approving the Amendment to Sanctity of Marriage and rejecting same-sex marriage. He was suspended for the remainder of his term on September 30, 2016. In April 2017, Judge Moore resigned from the Supreme Court to run for the U.S. Senate.

Beware of those who have branded Roy Moore as a renegade of law and order, extreme right-wing radical, and a theocrat; thereby demonstrating they are either neophytes in their knowledge of God’s moral law, the biblical history of the colonies, and the founding documents. Or, they purposely want to paint him as a crazy man because it doesn’t fit their failed and destructive ideologies. Now that Moore is running against a Democrat for the U.S. Senate all hell is breaking loose. The RINO’s (Republicans in name only), special interest groups, Democrats and the left are shaking in their boots with the idea of having Roy Moore in the U.S. Senate. Why? Because Moore has been committed to upholding the moral law of God, morality and the Constitution and his life’s record proves him consistent in his convictions to be on the right side of history.

Moore has not stopped proclaiming that America must recognize the moral basis of her laws as revealed in the Scriptures. He is entirely convinced, and rightfully so, there is only one source of morality as found in Scripture, not in human wisdom. Without this divinely inspired moral compass, there is no true immovable basis for social laws. Therefore, new laws have to be invented to accommodate people’s desire to do as they please; it is the path to lawlessness.  

For over 14 years, I have analyzed Roy Moore’s commitment to the three fundamental pillars of this nation: the moral law of God, the original history of this country, and his commitment to the Constitution. Everyone in the bureaucracy, whether they are elected officials at the city, county, state and federal levels and all professing Christians, need to show this kind of commitment. America has no other alternative to heal her deadly national wounds, anyone who tells you differently does not understand how great nations and empires die. Moore believes all the laws generated by the mind of man must follow the Declaration of Independence that affirms the Laws of Nature’s God.

After winning the primary runoff, in his acceptance speech, Moore clearly reveals his character and life convictions. As I leave you with some of his comments, you be the judge and ask yourself if he is controversial or if he is following in the steps of the forefathers and founding fathers, that they too rebelled and fought against the political powers of their times.

After thanking family, staff, campaign volunteers and all the people that supported him nationwide, Moore said:

There is one you don’t see here and has done more for my campaign then anybody and that is Almighty God.

I want every body to understand, that when I talk about God in this campaign God has done more for his campaign I never prayed to win this campaign but only God’s will to be done.

There’s nothing too great for God, he quoted the prophet Isaiah 40:4-8.

We are put on earth for a short time and for that time our duty is to serve Almighty God and to acknowledge Him in all things.

Together we can make America great! We can support the President. Don’t let anybody in the press think that because he supported my opponent that I do not support him and support his agenda.

As long as it’s constitutional, as long as it advances our society, our culture, our country, I will be supportive, as long as it’s constitutional. But we have to return to knowledge of God and the Constitution of the United States to the United States Congress.

I believe we can make America great, but we must make America good, and you cannot make America good without acknowledging the sovereign source of that goodness, the sovereign source of our law, liberty, and government, which is Almighty God.

We have become a nation that has distanced ourselves from the very foundation it was built on. Washington said that of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. We have to recognize that we’ve been separated by something that the separation of church and state doesn’t stand for, it doesn’t separate us from God. Nothing can separate us from God. We are one nation under God and we can become one nation unified, there’s much division in our society: protests, demonstrations, mobs, racial strife, but we are all created in the image of God.

Moore quoted part of President Harry Truman inaugural address, January 20, 1949: “The American people stand firm in the faith which has inspired this Nation from the beginning….

We believe that all men are created equal because they are created in the image of God. From this faith we will not be moved….”

Moore continued: We have been moved from that faith, but we can move back, God can still brings us back.

This is a time for victory. It’s a time to remember the struggles we’ve gone through, but it’s also time to rededicate our lives to God and to the Constitution, and to our country, to our families. Let’s go again and make America great.

A Roy Moore in the U.S. Senate can bring the much-needed reformation among those who profess the Christian faith but their actions invalidate such confession. Those who are on the side of Moore’s biblical worldview will welcome his stature of a proven unwavering cultural warrior that is sold out to do God’s will.
