The moral bankruptcy of America is catching up to her. There isn’t a week that goes by that we don’t see scandal after scandal of cheating, deception, lies, bribery, sexual immorality and depravity of all kinds of godlessness before our eyes. How long can we go on with all this immorality that has destroyed many civilizations of the past? Are we beyond the point of no return? Will we wear out God’s patience, kindness and mercy? Not if we repent and turn from our wicked ways. God tells us in his Word, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
When we talk about turning from our wicked ways. There is an issue that is most pressing because it is so egregious, it is abortion on demand. Life has become disposable with the approval of the government, many churches and even from many of our loved ones. When life is so cheapened and a people kill off their future in total defiance to God, what awaits them? The answer to that question is, only severe and utter judgment from the Almighty, who made us.
When it comes to abortion on demand, the population at large has been lied to. They have been herded like cattle to the slaughter into believing that life doesn’t begin at conception; contradicting God who says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you….” (Jeremiah 1:5).
