We Can Learn From Every Tragedy

There is no doubt that the San Bernardino massacre was an act of terrorism. It was not a random act by a disgruntled employee who was offended by the Christmas party as we have heard from many in the media who were spinning the situation beyond any sane logic. Have you noticed the growing trends in America where Christians are the only ones blamed for just about everything?

What caused the FBI to announce that it was an act of terrorism and not workplace violence? The evidence is clear from the posting of a pledge of loyalty to the Islamic State (ISIS) from one or both of the attackers, their attempts to destroy digital fingerprints, even crushing and destroying their cell phones, the arsenal of weapons and explosives in their garage at home, the arsenal included a dozen pipe bombs and thousands of rounds of ammunition. It appears that they were ready to carry out other attacks.

The left and their pundits are doing what they do best, focusing the blame on guns and the cry for strict gun control! We don’t need more gun laws only the enforcement of the ones we already have.

Within hours of the mass shooting, Obama wasted no time in demanding gun control reforms. One day after the radicalized Islamists’ mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, Senator Barbara Boxer (D) wasted no time and began to push, again for gun control amendments and stated that “Sensible gun laws work. We’ve proven it in California. And we’re not going to give up.” Really, you cannot make this up! Tell it to the families that lost a love one, tell it to those who are wounded and ask how those sensible gun laws worked for them. And to think that there are those who agreed with the Senator Boxer; are they delusional or is there something more sinister in their worldview?

Do you know that California has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country? How do Boxer and all her cronies explain, with common sense, why those wonderful laws didn’t stop Wednesday’s shootings? One of the terrorists was a U.S. citizen and government employee with no criminal record.

We know criminals could care less about gun laws; the religious or ideologists that have a far-reaching political/religious agenda are committed to carrying out their violence and could care less about strict gun control once they determine it is time to use military style attacks, like the one in San Bernardino, CA.

The gun laws are not meant to deter or stop criminals, rather to make law-abiding citizens defenseless by preventing them from being armed; there are those in power that despise people that cling to their Bibles and guns.

The Second Amendment is a provision for law-abiding citizens to defend against crime, tyranny and now terror. This is the very reason Sheriffs across the nation are calling upon their county residents to arm themselves, even the Sheriff from Ulster County New York State. The Sheriffs are right in encouraging this and the political pundits, mainstream media and all the pious wealthy individuals who want a disarmed populous, yet will not give up their personal armed security guards; they are wrong, very wrong. The Sheriffs are not alone in calling for law-abiding citizens to arms, so are other government officials and presidential candidates, except Hillary Clinton, who joins in on the leftist choir’s favorite mantra “gun control.”

Historically, government cannot guaranty the safety of its citizens and they lie by making the citizenry believe that by controlling the use of weapons they are doing it for the protection of the people; in reality these measures are the removal of freedom and personal responsibility. Their real goal is total social control.

Bottom line, if we connect the dots we will find a connection between the liberals/progressives/Marxists/socialists/communists and radical Muslims. This common thread is the eradication of Christianity from the world because it threatens their evil agendas, but of course, their spin is that they say biblical Christians are the evil ones. The way they go about the destruction of Christianity varies from country to country.

Christians in America have rights that most others don’t have in their nations. Among these rights is the responsibility to be able to defend themselves. That is what the Founding Fathers did in their time against the oppressive dominance by the British crown and this is the legacy they left for generations to come.

Where did the Founders get the idea of defending themselves to preserve their God-given liberties? It derived from rightfully understanding what The Scriptures reveal about self-defense through implementing lethal force. Many biblically misinformed theologians and pastors affirm that the American Revolution was an act of rebellion against God and the Bible. The problem with their arguments is they have no knowledge of the theological debates that took place before and during the American Revolution. A people well informed on the Bible and history will not be an easy meal for the ravenous wolves.

There is much to be learned from the latest terrorist tragedy and Christians better understand what God is saying and how to interpret effectively the times from His perspective. And no, it is not the end of the world; it is a time to respond with unconditional commitment to do God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.

While the main media mocks at petitions to pray for the families that lost a loved one and for the wounded in this latest terrorist attack, let us not stop praying for them. And let us pray for the next Biblical Reformation, it really is our only hope.
