“Equality Act” is Deceptive Beyond Measure

When the righteous increase, the people rejoice,
but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
(Proverbs 29:2)

Newsmax reported that Vice President Mike Pence, speaking at Liberty University’s commencement Saturday, warned that disparaging faith has become “acceptable and even fashionable” in America, and cautioned the newly minted graduates to “be ready.” Prepare for Persecution! Pence declared: “America needs men and women of faith and integrity now more than ever. We live in a time when it’s become acceptable and even fashionable to ridicule and discriminate against people of faith,” he added.

Pence and his wife Karen have received growing criticism in the media in recent months for their biblically based views. Including direct attacks by openly homosexual presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg from Indiana, who used to be his friend.

Obvious proof of the increased attack on Christianity in America is the wicked HR 5, bill in the U.S. House, and S. 788, in the Senate—the so-called “Equality Act.” This act proports to eliminate the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 (RFRA) supposedly to defend many federal laws. This bill is designed to elevate the LGBT segment of our society further making them a protected class unnecessarily because they are already protected by existing laws that apply to all. This HR 5 bill would drastically alter religious freedom across the board, not just those involving the LGBT community. A clear indication of who the target is. Read all about in the links provided in this editorial.

One of the laws in the path of destruction of this HR 5, is the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which allows houses of worship to make their hiring decisions based on religion. It is imperative for houses of worship to only hire those who are in agreement with their religious doctrine. This is not only logical but needed. The “Equality Act” would abolish this fundamental right. Catholic and Christian churches could be forced to hire atheists. If a synagogue wanted and needed to hire a Jew over a Muslim, it would not be able to use the RFRA as a claim or defense. It is more than obvious that our very form of government is being used against us because these egregious attacks are coming from our governing bodies who in their minds have become little gods.

Act now, contact your legislators and voice your opinion against these obvious attacks on our faith and the foundation of this country.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
(Proverbs 16:18)
