Regardless of Election Results, America’s Hope is God

He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings;”
(Daniel 2:21)

In all circumstances, you can always have hope. God is not dead, and he is in charge!

For the most part, we humans think that we ultimately decide the outcome of an election, but God has told us in his Word in Daniel 2:21, He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

The cycle of life is that civilizations come and go, and governments rise and fall. Our Creator is generous and loves people. He blesses each nation with a span of time so it might prosper and excel. But God will not be mocked and this blessing ends when a nation becomes perverted, rebellious, and refuses to self-govern. When God determines that mercy for a nation has reached a point beyond what is healthy, he declares his judgment and destroys that nation.

God destroyed the world with a global flood because it became unbearably evil. But, in his foreknowledge, God knew that he would be able to begin again through a righteous man named Noah and his family. God drowned the evil people in order to preserve and free future generations from the evil conduct because he already had a plan that would redeem fallen sinful men through his plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. He loves all generations alike and he will give them all the opportunity to know him and be saved. God is patient, but when a present generation is spoiled and stubbornly demonstrates it, God takes action in order to give future generations a real chance at life, so he has to remove the present perverted generation. He does not want future generations to be ruined by the behaviors passed down. Surprisingly, a God of love will bring on disease, pestilence, natural disasters and wars to clear the population that is unruly so the world’s future population can grow and flourish. Jeremiah 10:10 says, “But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earthquakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.” Isaiah 45:7 says, I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things.”

Is World War III coming? It could be a possibility and the nations are preparing for it. We know that tensions are on the rise.

Here at home we are crippling ourselves with so much inside fighting. It is boggling us down and we can’t agree on true and viable solutions to complex problems. Will this be our end? If so, no president will be able to save us from ourselves and the judgment of God will come down upon us. God doesn’t guarantee success or longevity to any nation. It is solely contingent upon how that nation stands before Him. The only solution is a godly intervention if we humble ourselves and repent before our Creator and plead for his forgiveness. It is foolish to insist on evil behavior; the outcome will be disastrous.

God is our only hope.
